The Misery Map

It’s summer and I’m going places! But all we see in the news is dire predictions of flight delays and cancellations. There is even a website called Flight Aware which has an interactive “Misery Map” showing all the delayed and cancelled flights for a given day.

QR Codes Are Everywhere

For better or for worse, QR codes are now part of the COVID era landscape. It all started in1994, when engineer Masahiro Hara was working on a compact code to track car parts.

Paxlovid, Day Five

This is my fifth day on Paxlovid and, I’ve learned a lot. First: it erases most of your covid symptoms quickly. Second, yes, it really does leave an oily metallic taste in your mouth. Third, most people don’t know much about it.
